Nintendo's foray into a paid online service subscription has begun.
Nintendo Switch users can now buy into Nintendo's new online subscription service, Nintendo Switch Online. It launched last night, after a minor delay.
The service offers a number of perks: cloud game saves , integration with a smartphone app for chat, access to special offers, and a playable library of NES classics - but the primary reason to pick up the service is that many games utilizing online multiplayer will require it, including games such as ARMS , and Super Smash Bros. Nintendo Switch Online, the first paid online service from the company, is now available for purchase through the Nintendo Switch Eshop. Signing up for the service grants you access to online play, cloud saves, and a selection of NES classics. To sign up, first you'll have download and install the 6.0 system update.
