Following an image leak a couple of days ago showing an Xbox controller with a new and unusual design, Microsoft has formally announced at E3 that it is the Xbox Adaptive Controller and has been designed for gamers with limited mobility.

Microsoft is on a mission these days, and that is to get as many people to participate in the technological revolution we are living in - that includes people with disabilities and who have limited mobility to play games on Xbox.
The new $99 Xbox Adaptive Controller has been "years in the making" and involved Microsoft working closely with The AbleGamers Charity, The Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Craig Hospital, SpecialEffect, and Warfighter Engaged.

Microsoft is trying to make gaming more accessible with its upcoming Xbox Adaptive Controller, which lets you plug in an array of peripherals that players with limited mobility can use more easily than a standard gamepad.
