The new Palm phone is exclusive to Verizon and costs $350

6 monthes ago   |   By Android Central

This is designed to accompany your current phone, not replace it.
Back in March of this year, it was reported that TCL was actively working on a new Android phone that would revive the iconic Palm brand and bring it back to market. A leaked image of said phone appeared a few months later in August, and now on October 15, 2018, we have all the official details on the first Palm phone in years.
This new phone is simply referred to as "Palm" and is designed to be a new type of phone that lives alongside your main smartphone. It's got an extremely small 3.3-inch LCD HD display, Snapdragon 435...

The tiny Palm phone wants to be your smartphone's sidekick

Palm's tiny new smartphone is now official, and it wants to be your phone's sidekick. Verizon PR rep Albert Aydin showed off several product shots of the phone on his Twitter page and Engadget got a short hands-on with the device too. A startup in California partnered with TCL, the Chinese company that purchased the Palm brand from HP a few years ago, is breathing new life into the name. Instead of vying to replace your iPhone or Galaxy device, this tiny phone wants to support it. Called the Palm, the device is supposed to be a ‘sidekick' that you take along when you don't want to lug your...

Let's not pretend the new Palm ‘phone' is actually a good idea

Let's not pretend the new Palm ‘phone' is actually a good idea

6 monthes ago   |   By TheBoyGeniusReport

The phone in the image above looks like a tiny iPhone, though it runs Android and the operating system looks a lot like Apple's watchOS. The device, which goes on sale next month for $350, is not a real smartphone either, so let's not pretend it's a good idea. The only reason we're talking about it is because it has that Palm branding that reminds us of how great the webOS platform could have been, had Palm or HP actually found a way to compete against iPhone and Android.

Palm made a beautiful, ridiculous mistake of a new phone

Palm made a beautiful, ridiculous mistake of a new phone

6 monthes ago   |   By SlashGear

The brand Palm revealed a new “phone” today that looks nice and has very little reason to exist. Much in the same way the first wave of smartwatches' first job was to solve a problem that did not exist, this first Palm smartphone for the year 2018 is tiny, beautiful, and quite unnecessary. It has a 3.3-inch display and it's...

Meet Palm, the tiny $350 phone that hopes to complement your bigger device

Meet Palm, the tiny $350 phone that hopes to complement your bigger device

6 monthes ago   |   By Phone Arena

Seven years since we last saw a device, the iconic Palm brand is back with new owners, a new logo, and a new device which tries to complement regular smartphones.
Palm - yes, that's its name - is a rather tiny offering that has been designed entirely as a companion phone. This would lead many to assume that the smartphone isn't that good but, in actual fact, it boasts some pretty respectable specs that include Qualcomm's Snapdragon 435 and 3GB of RAM. Coupled with this is also 32GB of non-expandable external storage, an 800mAh battery that permits a day of use or three days of standby, ...

New Palm isn't a phone after all, but what the heck is it?

New Palm isn't a phone after all, but what the heck is it?

6 monthes ago   |   By Pocket-lint

There was a lot of buzz about a new Palm phone a couple of months ago, with the codename Pepito bandied around because leaks said it would be tiny in comparison with modern smartphones. However, it turns out it's not a phone at all. The Palm is a connected device that syncs with your existing smartphone and takes over some of its day to day tasks without you needing to take your handset out with you. It is a wearable you don't wear, basically. A smartwatch that isn't a watch. The Palm is credit card sized, comes with a 3.3-inch HD display, Qualcomm 435 octa-core processor and front and...
