Samsung Galaxy Note9 pre-orders top S9 according to Korean carrier

2 monthes ago   |   By GSMArena

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 launched earlier in the year than its predecessor, because the Galaxy S9 underperformed. Early indications are that this was a good move, based on data shared by a representative of a South Korean wireless carrier.
The Note9 pre-orders are 30% to 50% higher than the S9 pre-orders. The numbers aren't as high as the Galaxy Note8 year, the Note9 is reportedly seeing 80% of the demand. That is partially due to the pent up demand after the Note7 was pulled from the market.
Pre-orders end today and Galaxy Note9 units will ship out to consumers on August 24. That's...

Deal: T-Mobile and Samsung slash the Note 8 price down to $550!

2 monthes ago   |   By Phone Arena

With a few days before the general Note 9 release, and with the first of its pre-orders already getting out of the warehouse, Samsung and T-Mobile just slashed the price of its predecessor to the lowest we've seen for buying outright. How do $550 for one of the best flagships of last summer sound like?
Pretty good, we'd wager to guess, and that's exactly how much it will cost you to snatch a gray Note 8 directly from Samsung or from a T-Mobile store if you have one around. That's just $22.92 a month for 24 months, or you can slash the price even further with an eligible ...

People can't wait to get the Note 9 as pre-orders beat the Galaxy S9

2 monthes ago   |   By Phone Arena

Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 will be on the market in a few days and it seems it will hit the ground running, at least in South Korea. According to information from a local carrier, pre-orders for the new device have been between 30 and 50% than those for the Galaxy S9. While that's a pretty significant increase, there are two factors, contributing to the difference, that should be noted.
First, of course, is the fact that we're talking about Samsung's homeland. It's expected that people there will be more excited about its newest product, after all, the company has more than 50% of the...

With more than 40% of our 2808 respondents intending to vote with their wallets for the upcoming Galaxy S10, Samsung better bring it soon, and with an enticing design/hardware/Android overlay combo at that.
The 10th anniversary of the flagship Galaxy S line is expected to see no less than three S10 models announced, big and smaller, curved and flatter, with or without in-display finger scanners, to suit every taste, and most of our respondents seem to believe that Samsung can deliver a wow-ing trio.

Spigen reveals lineup of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 cases

Spigen reveals lineup of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 cases

2 monthes ago   |   By MobileSyrup

Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 is an undeniably sleek looking smartphone that features a nearly all-glass body. This means that regardless of how careful you are with the expensive device, an accidental flick of the wrist could result in an unfortunate tumble. When a device hits tile, wood or, in the worst case scenario, an even rougher surface like pavement, you'll be lucky if your smartphone escapes with only a scratch. More often than not though, and this issue seems to have slowly become worse as smartphone manufacturers increasingly opt for all-glass designs, displays easily crack, even from...

First Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Android Update Appears Online

The first-ever Android update for the Galaxy Note 9 appeared online earlier today, having been obtained by SamMobile shortly after Samsung started distributing the firmware package to its latest high-end smartphone. The software build in question has been compiled on August 7, two days before the Galaxy Note 9 was officially announced, and should be available for installation on a global level by the time Samsung's new high-end handset goes on sale this Friday, August 24. On the odd chance that you boot your new Galaxy Note 9 later this week and aren't given the option to install the...

Final retail firmware update for the Galaxy Note 9 rolls out

2 monthes ago   |   By Phone Arena

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 units won't start shipping until this Friday , but we've already seen two OTA firmware updates for the phone. The first one, pushed last week, added a toggle for different Super Slow-Mo recording times in the camera app, allowing users to switch between 0.2s or 0.4s, which may not sound like much, but amounts to 6-8 seconds of slowed-down footage.
Earlier today, Samsung rolled out another update for the Galaxy Note 9, bringing up the firmware of the phone to the final retail version. The firmware carries version number N960NKSU1ARH5 ...

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Orders Surpass S9 Ones In Korea

2 monthes ago   |   By Android Headlines

Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 surpassed the Galaxy S9-series devices by pre-orders in the company's home country, The Korea Herald's Investor reports, citing sources familiar with the development. While the Far Eastern country amounts to only a small percentage of the Galaxy Note 9's overall target market, the domestic performance of Samsung's contemporary Android flagships historically mirrored their global sales with minimal deviations. Local wireless carriers now claim the number of Galaxy Note 9 pre-orders is between 30- to 50-percent higher compared to the Galaxy S9 line, though the Galaxy...
