The United Kingdom's biggest cell carrier, EE, announced plans today to launch proper 5G mobile service throughout parts of the region, with a 16-city rollout planned for 2019. The first phase of the rollout will begin with capital cities across the UK, including Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and London. Two other England cities, Birmingham and Manchester, are also included in phase one, which is scheduled for sometime next year.

You've probably heard of EE - they're the largest mobile carrier in the UK, and part of the even larger holding company BT Group. Earlier today, the company announced which UK cities will be included in the initial rollout of its upcoming 5G network next year.
Though there's no word on exactly when we can expect the first 5G sites to switch on, there will be six cities included in the initial 2019 launch: London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Belfast, Birmingham, and Manchester. EE is currently trialling 5G at Canary Wharf and across parts of East London
EE has confirmed that it will switch 5G on across 16 cities UK cities next year as it aims to be the first network to commercially launch 5G.
London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Belfast, Birmingham and Manchester will be the first six UK's launch cities to receive 5G.
EE will also introduce 5G to Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, Leeds, Hull, Sheffield, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry and Bristol during 2019.
