Apple just raised the price of the iPad Pro without upgrading it

5 monthes ago   |   By TheBoyGeniusReport

While everyone was distracted by the long-awaited reveals of the iPhone X, iPhone 8, Apple Watch Series 3 and Apple TV 4K on Tuesday, Apple quietly bumped up the prices on all of its 256GB and 512GB iPad Pro models by $50 without actually changing anything about the tablets. MacRumors spotted the change yesterday afternoon, shortly after Apple wrapped up its event at the Steve Jobs Theater in the new Apple Park.

Apple has removed the App Store from desktop iTunes

Apple has removed the App Store from desktop iTunes

5 monthes ago   |   By TechRadar

It's undoubtedly a big week for Apple. With the announcement of the iPhone 8 , iPhone X , Apple Watch 3 , AirPower wireless charger and Apple TV 4K at its live event , it would be easy for the smaller changes to be missed. But that doesn't mean that small changes aren't happening. One such change is the streamlining of iTunes for desktop, removing the App Store with the update to 12.7. Don't worry, this doesn't mean that the App Store is going away, just that it will no longer live in iTunes. Considering most people probably do all their app management in the App Store on their devices...

IPhone X for $1,000? I'd rather spend it on my PC

5 monthes ago   |   By TechRadar

Unless you've been living under a rock, or a particularly large PC chassis, you may have noticed that Apple just announced the iPhone X . I seem to remember words like 'revolutionary' and 'game changing' spoken on stage in hushed, yet reverent, tones, as if trying to summon a shy woodland sprite into existence. It might not have been quite those words, as I was a bit light headed after consuming too much pizza. However, after much hype, the iPhone X was revealed, and while it is undoubtedly a nice-looking phone, the most revolutionary aspect of it is the price. Apple wants us to pay $999...

The iPhone 8 and iPhone X will support fast charging, but only over USB-C

The iPhone 8 and iPhone X will support fast charging, but only over USB-C

5 monthes ago   |   By The Verge

Tucked in among the details for the iPhone 8 and iPhone X is the fact that the new devices will support fast charging. Apple claims its new phones can recharge up to 50 percent of their battery life in a 30-minute charge. But there's a catch: you have to use USB-C, as spotted by 9to5Mac .
That's because Apple is using USB Power Delivery - one of the various USB-C charging specifications - to provide fast charging on the new phones. It's a feature the company has also offered on its newest iPads as well; both the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and the updated 12.9-inch model supported the option when...

Both the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X have a new feature that Apple says doesn't come with any previous iPhone - for now. T-Mobile is offering a $300 discount on the iPhone 8 and iPhone X - but there's a big catch

5 monthes ago   |   By Business Insider

Moments after Apple announced the new iPhone 8 and iPhone X on Tuesday, T-Mobile CEO John Legere tweeted that the carrier would offer up to $300 off any new iPhone in exchange for an old iPhone trade-in.
But there's one big catch: the $300 credit will be broken up over the course of a 24-month payment installment plan.
So instead of getting a $300 credit up front for trading in an old iPhone for a new one, T-Mobile will award $12.50 in credit per month for two years.
The promotion applies to any iPhone 6 or newer in good working condition that's traded in for an iPhone 7 or newer, T-Mobile...

Jet Black color option finally available for 32GB iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

5 monthes ago   |   By Phone Arena

Apple is finally offering 32GB versions of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in the stylish jet black finish. This slight revision is one of the several changes introduced to the Apple Store following last night's iPhone announcement event.
Previously, the color variant was only available to the 128GB and 256GB versions of the 2016 flagships. Customers had to pay a price premium for the shade due to it being difficult to manufacture.
Although undeniably attractive, the glossy, reflective finish does have some drawbacks. ...
