A rumor this week suggested that Amazon may be planning to launch eight new Alexa-powered devices by the end of 2018, and today we may be geting an early look at two of them.
New Echo Sub and Amazon Smart Plug devices have been spotted on Amazon. First up, the Echo Sub is described as offering "down-firing, 100W deep bass sound through a 6" woofer". You can pair one with an Echo or Echo Plus to add some bass to your music, or pair with two of the same compatible Echo device to give you stereo sound.

Amazon appears to have leaked some upcoming products on its UK website. Pocket-lint spotted listings for two new Alexa items, a smart plug and a subwoofer , that appear to be going on sale soon.
The subwoofer is by far the more interesting of the two. It's called the Echo Sub, and it can work in conjunction with one or two other Echos to improve their sound quality. Amazon is going to be offering its own Smart Plug, letting you add Alexa voice control to any plug socket. The unannounced Amazon Smart Plug will work with Alexa and according to the details we found on Amazon.co.uk, will let you schedule times to turn devices on and off, use Alexa for voice control or control devices when you're away from home. Like all Alexa devices, all you'll have to do is plug it in, head into the Alexa app and add your new Smart Plug.
