Red Dead Redemption's Biggest Unsolved Mysteries

3 monthes ago   |   By GameInformer

In the eight years since Red Dead Redemption released, players have explored every inch of its grassy plains, desolate deserts, and snow-capped peaks. During a misguided extermination quest, we discovered that the “man-eating” Bigfoot actually eats berries. We uncovered - and maybe even stopped - the cannibal behind a rash of disappearances in Armadillo. We even aided our grave-digging friend, Seth, in finding buried treasure from a bona fide treasure map.
So, how many mysteries could possibly remain in this well-traveled world? Plenty. Red Dead Redemption features events no one speaks of...

Rockstar Games controversy renews concern over ‘crunch culture'

3 monthes ago   |   By The Next Web

On the cusp of releasing one of the biggest games of the year, Red Dead Redemption 2, developer Rockstar Games has been forced to allay fears it's overworking its employees. It's attempted to assure fans by allowing staff to speak directly about their experiences. The whole kerfuffle started thanks to an interview with Vulture, in which Rockstar VP Dan Houser said staff worked several “100-hour weeks” during the year in order to make the game perfect. Since there was no further clarification in the article itself, it'd be easy to assume he was talking about the entire development team...

Red Dead Redemption 2: The Influences Of Rockstar's GTA 5, Bully, Max Payne 3, And More

3 monthes ago   |   By GameSpot

Red Dead Redemption 2 is Rockstar's most ambitious game to date. With nearly 20 years of experience and almost 30 games under its belt, it's clear that the studio is pulling from its rich history in order to make its biggest game to date. Eight Rockstar studios around the globe are putting bits and pieces of eight different games into Red Dead Redemption 2,. The physical health mechanics from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas appear in Red Dead Redemption 2, for example, and they're expanded to affect your character's own personal hygiene. RDR2's weapon handling emulates Max Payne 3 by only...

It's a big week for Destiny 2 , as Bungie released a significant update alongside the launch of two events: Iron Banner and Festival of the Lost. In terms of the update, it introduces a variety of welcome changes and fixes, and it's good news for scout rifle users, Iron Banner fans, and players who are sick of Edge Transit. Here's what's new. Rockstar employees speak out against crunch controversy

3 monthes ago   |   By Rock, Paper, Shotgun

With talk of crunch and working conditions casting a shadow over Rockstar's console launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 next week, the secretive company also behind Grand Theft Auto seem to have invited employees to speak openly about their experiences. It's an uncharacteristic and curious move, having employees try to clean up a PR mess created by co-founder Dan Houser's thoughtless boast that he and his small senior writing team have worked a few 100-hour weeks on RDR2. Rockstars who've chosen to pipe up today generally say nah they don't have it that bad, as you'd expect, but perhaps it's a...
