Google releases lighter version of Gmail in the Play Store

For all those Android users who are struggling every time they have to check their email or messages due to low-performance devices, Google is launching lightweight apps that require fewer resources.
Up until now, Google release YouTube, Assistant and Gboard for Android smartphones that pack less than 1GB RAM. The latest app to get the lightweight treatment is Gmail, which has just been released in the Google Play Store.

Google's messaging app strategy is a huge mess , but one surprisingly useful feature that has extended from Inbox to Gmail to Allo and Android Messages is Smart Reply , which offers three responses based on context for you to quickly reply to your contacts. Google is now working to expand this beyond its own suite of products, and is opening up a limited test to Android users to add the feature to other chat apps, such as Slack and Skype.

Messenger Kids is a mobile app that gives kids under the age of 13 the power to communicate via text and video with approved family members and friends. The app works on smartphones and tablets, but is controlled through the parent's Facebook account. Messenger Kids was first made available to the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, and later Amazon devices. The app is free to download and use.
