Telltale Games is shutting its doors, but they may try to see The Walking Dead to its finale. Episode 2 of The Walking Dead: The Final Season released this week, and there are still two more episodes left in limbo after the studio laid off the majority of its staff last week. The studio released a statement on Twitter expressing hopes that the project could be finished:

The video game industry was dealt a devastating blow last week as Telltale Games ( The Walking Dead , Minecraft: Story Mode ) confirmed that it was laying off about 90% of its workforce. Only 25 employees would remain, down from 400 a year ago. As such, those who remained would be responsible for, at the very least, completing and shipping the second episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season , while other projects would be canceled.

Telltale Games is in the process of shutting down, which has put a lot of their future projects in jeopardy. The timing was especially bad for The Walking Dead fans, some of whom will receive Episode 2 of The Walking Dead: The Final Season today.
