Bungie-Activision is no more, and the devs not only remain independent but now wholly-owned an IP they created. But what's next? The studio says it's ready to self-publish, and NetEase's recent $100 million investment could lead to big things down the pipeline.
What if Matter isn't a new IP but a publishing label? What if the new IP gets cycled into the Destiny franchise? If the new IP stays, will Bungie be entangled with NetEase the same way it was with Activision?
